About

Meet Ami

Hi, I’m Ami. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience helping people better understand themselves, work through difficult experiences, and create meaningful change in their lives.

I’m deeply committed to understanding each person as a whole—their experiences, strengths, relationships, culture, and the identities that have shaped who they are. I believe therapy is most meaningful when you feel genuinely understood and when our work reflects what matters to you.

My experience includes private practice, healthcare, outpatient settings, and university counseling at the University of Pennsylvania. My time working with college students at Penn also deepened my passion for supporting young adults as they navigate relationships, identity, independence, and the many transitions that come with this stage of life.

Areas of Focus

You may be facing something difficult right now, working through past experiences, or simply wanting to better understand yourself and the patterns in your life.

Anxiety & Depression

Anxiety and depression can affect how you feel, think, and move through daily life. Therapy can help you better understand what you’re experiencing, develop effective ways of coping, and feel more connected to yourself and your life.

Trauma & PTSD

Past experiences can continue to affect how you feel, relate to others, and respond to situations today. Therapy can help you process difficult experiences, understand their impact, and move toward healing at a pace that feels right for you.

Relationships

Relationships can bring both connection and challenges. Therapy can help you explore patterns, strengthen communication and boundaries, and better understand yourself and your needs within your relationships.

Life Transitions

Changes in relationships, school, career, family, or other areas of life can bring uncertainty and stress. Therapy can offer space to process these changes, better understand what you need, and move forward with greater clarity.

Young Adults

Support for navigating relationships, identity, school, career, family expectations, and the transitions that come with young adulthood.

Multicultural Counseling

Culture, family, identity, and lived experiences can shape how we understand ourselves and relate to others. I offer culturally responsive therapy that makes space for the identities, values, and experiences that are important to you.
